Help Needed for Fire Prevention Week - N7F in October

Due to my being QRT on HF with the collapse of my Log Periodic AND the new tower delivery is out a number of weeks, I will not be able to lead and organized the N7F Fire Prevention Week operation this year.  I would truly appreciate someone stepping in for me this year.  In the past, a number of you local people have stepped up and operated.  Last year we had around 1000 QSOs - a record number for the 7th call district.  I also have received help for the operation from Arizona, Oregon and Montana hams from time-to-time and it is likely they can assist again.  If anyone can step-up and lead this in 2016, that would be a relief and a great service.  Please contact me ate 801.643.1559 if you have a desire to fill in.  73, Lee - K7NM

Due to the untimely demise of my M2 HF log periodic (built with heavy duty aluminum elements), I have some of the element halves that are largely undamaged.  I also have the boom (roughly 30' long) of 3" diameter heavy wall aluminum.  The later could be used as a 40m vertical with the appropriate rope guys and radials.  The former elements could be used for higher band antennas in either vertical or perhaps yagi configuration for the VHF bands or 6m.  If anyone is in the antenna building mood, come over and take a look.  First come - first served.  I am going to keep the heap here until the new Log Periodic is up on the new tower - then it goes to the recycling place (what is left).  Give me a call before you come.  801.643.1559.  73, Lee - K7NM.
